theme change

October 27, 2005

Hey, sorry for the triple post tonight:
I changed to a simpler theme, i didn’t feel like looking at that ugly one anymore. I might edit a theme to fit my design style a little later, but this black/white/red works for now. let me know what you think…or look here, click the tab on the top, and pick out a new one. Let me know what you like best and I will switch to it. First vote wins, I’ll retain veto power.

batman

I couldn’t get an entire batman clip, so I decided to just go through the DVD and take some screenshots.
This is a sequence of frames from one of the opening scenes. Simply quality film-making. I don’t even need to give you captions (although I will anyway).

Drop the Bat Ladder!

“Holy Anchovie, Batman!” (actually the dialogue there)

How convenient! take note of the other types of spray

The caped crusader getting an assist

The shark gets a face full

It drops into the sea…

But it was an exploding shark!

atman’s explanation to some newspaper reporters afterwards:

“that was an unfortunate animal who happened to swallow an exploding mine”

I really want to find a transcript online, just so you can experience some of the writing.
Unfortunately I couldn’t, but if anyone has access to an original script (or wants to transcribe it) I’ll post it.

that’s it for me. I’ll still work on distributing some of the clips.

no radio, i have something to say

I re-found one of my favorite links (to assist in those “what was that song I heard today that I liked” moments): using mediabase.com to find radio station top-25 most played songs.
Pretty much you use google and search for “mediabase 107.9″ to find hot 107.9 in Atlanta. Or you can search by call letters if you know them, that’s probably a better way to do it.
I also use it to keep up with what’s being played in the ATL.
Here’s the link (find a city and a radio station) http://w2.mediabase.com/mmrweb/rronline/StationsMenu.asp

Enough of that, I’m gonna talk about my week!
Dr. Manting has used one primary strategy during the Women’s Health Intersession: desensitization. I walked in at 8:02 to a powerpoint of external female genitalia, accompanied by music. It’s been that kind of week. (I’m trying to avoid words that will trigger the spambots).
We had sexual history interviewing this evening, which involved interviewing standardized patients about “awkward” subjects. Some people had conversations about male sexual problems, I got two older female patients with suspected STDs. They actually made a DVD of my second interview, which I have since viewed on the computer. Don’t even ask for a copy.

ATL this weekend, it’s Katie’s birthday in less than 2 hours!
The highlight of the weekend will clearly be the Dunwoody Prep carnival on Sunday =)
