study break for the fans

I need breaks frequently, this stuff is brutal.
I came across a quote from a neurology professor, he was discussing the prion diseases (mad cow/scrapie/creutzfield-jakob/etc.) and he closed the lecture with “But I still eat meat.” I just thought that was awesome.
Lots o’ studying for the rest of the night. Test tomorrow, then a softball game (intraclass rivalry) then a party at Bubby’s, then heading back to the ATL for the weekend.
Significant things to do in the d-wood this weekend include:

  • The annual Dunwoody Club Forest multi-family garage sale, I shouldn’t have to say any more than that. Probably 20 families officially “on the map” with lots more jumping on for the ride. I hear through the grapevine that the Johnson family is “running a booth” this year. Makes me excited just to think about.
  • Cinco De Mayo, I’m sure we’ll throw something together. Los, Garcia’s, taco mac…i’m sure there will be something going on.
  • hopefully successfully watch the OC from tonight (I’ve gotta record it on DVD and i have to remember to finalize the DVD so it can actually be viewed!)
  • do some preliminary preparation for the tests tuesday and wednesday (cumulative microbiology, pathology, pharmacology tests) that will also serve as board prep study sessions
  • watch Sopranos (of course) and take good notes to comment next week
  • pick out a seat at the Dunwoody Library and get it warmed up for a 5 week USMLE study marathon (ok maybe i don’t have to actually do that)

OK that’s about it for now, I got a much-needed break and am going to resume studying. wish me luck, i’ll probably already have taken the test by the time most of you bums get to work and read this….

p.s. of course i’m taking another study break to watch CSI tonight.
