back in disgusta

September 21, 2006

nobody seems to care about the Scruples.
It takes way too long to update those guesses anyway, so I’ll just let you know that my 2nd weekend wasn’t as profitable as the first, but I still got a 60% return (112->180) and took the percentage title again, allowing me the free guess first choice.
Enough of all that, I’ll keep you posted on this weekend after it concludes with MNF between the falcons and saints…
I drove back to Augusta this morning for our 2pm meeting. All of the off-campus Pediatric students met up with the course director and department chair to discuss the off-campus sites and give feedback. Mine was very positive — I really enjoyed PEDS and the doctors I worked with in Marietta. I really liked the administrative/medical business exposure that I got while working in the office, it confirmed that I like the billing/coding/insurance aspects of medicine (and would therefore want to do that in-office rather than outsource).
Blah blah blah, I know.

when arriving in Augusta, I got back to my apartment to find a few things:
1. the frozen “Steam and Serve” vegetables that I left on the counter (unintentionally) had NOT attracted ants, roaches, or other insects
2. those aforementioned vegetables didn’t smell too good, but their scent had not left the immediate vicinity of the packaging
3. the only things to eat were frozen bread, frozen raw fish, frozen uncooked sausage, PB&J, PBR (no coincidence those are both delicious), expired Uncle Ben’s rice, regular rice, crispix, sugar, spices, dry onion soup mix….you get the picture. I’m currently eating a sandwich right now. That means: I did a good job cleaning out the apartment before leaving for ATL and I need to go shopping for good healthy food so I don’t become a regular (again) at zaxby’s on walton way.
4. I left the place pretty clean, only to dirty it up with a car load of clothes and other crap that I accumulated over the summer
5. i miss atlanta, katie, and everyone else already
